Help His Lambs by giving them your time

Why We Need Your Help:

We are in the process of building a network of caring individuals, homes, churches, and other ministries, businesses and community agencies to partner, sponsor, and/or donate to Help for His Lambs, Inc. to expand our counseling services, educational programs, and provide temporary housing and emergency placement for those presently experiencing trauma in underserved communities in the following service areas.

Phase 1: Southwest Georgia: Brooks, Decatur, Grady, Lowndes and Thomas Counties

Phase 2: Florida Big Bend: Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla Counties

We Are Seeking

Christ-centered individuals who have the Father God’s Heart for His Children and who are willing to advocate and speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute, to advocate for those who are vulnerable, and ensure justice for the marginalized (Proverbs 31:8-9 NIV).

Christ-centered individuals who are retired or active state-certified teachers and state-licensed counselors in SW Georgia and the Big Bend Counties of North Florida to provide in-kind donations of their time to counsel, tutor, and facilitate support groups/therapeutic activities for abused and traumatized children and young adults. Individuals who are willing to counsel and teach these oppressed and vulnerable victims, loosen them from the chains, untie the cords of the bondage of trauma, and set them free, giving them hope for a future (Isaiah 58:6 NIV).

Partnerships with State, County and local agencies, departments, child advocacy centers, hospitals, and other community agencies to build collaborative referral relationships and explore opportunities for:

  • Referral partnerships for children, teens and young adults identified through law enforcement, child advocacy centers, hospitals, and other community encounters

  • Chaplain collaboration in supporting affected children and families

  • Community-based follow-up care focused on long-term Christ-centered healing and restoration

  • Resource sharing to strengthen trauma-informed, faith-sensitive counseling and support services responses after natural and man-made disasters impacting local communities served by Help for His Lambs, Inc.

Partnerships with Christ-Centered Churches and other ministries to:

  • Feed the hungry by providing food banks

  • Provide clothing for HFHL’s clients in need

  • Encourage church members and staff to become Host Families by providing temporary homes for shelter and emergency placement for the hurting children, who are referred to HFHL after their rescue until we receive sustainable funding to open group homes, permanent placement in an existing group home, adoption, or arrangements are made to return them to their families (Isaiah 58:7, Matthew 25:35 NIV).

Partnerships with Christ-Centered Churches and other ministries to work with HFHL’s licensed counselors and certified teachers to provide, tutoring, biblical counseling, life-skills training, Arts training, and discipleship services to abused and hurting children and young adults to train them up in the way they should go, so when they are old, they will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6 NIV).

Sponsors from state and local corporations and businesses foundations, and individual monthly donors to provide sustainable funding and other resources to help us to expand programs, services, staffing, apprenticeships for young adults who are unemployed or are aging out of group homes, and provide temporary conference space for volunteer and staff training until funding is obtained to launch educational and counseling centers (Luke 6:38, 1 John 3:17-18 ESV).

Your in-kind services, support, referrals, collaboration, partnership, sponsorships and donations will empower us to:

• Build a team of state-licensed professional mental health, behavioral health, and addiction counselors, pastoral counselors, state-certified teachers, and group home administration staffing and resources to provide healing, restoration, and lasting recovery of more abused and traumatized children and young adults for generations to come.

• Institute and fully equip educational and counseling centers to provide tutoring, counseling, spiritual discipleship, mentoring, and other support services for those who are survivors of abuse, trauma, addiction, and to assist them in healing and recovering physically, emotionally, behaviorally, academically, and spiritually.

• Establish and equip our first group homes in underserved counties in SW Georgia and Big Bend Counties of the Florida Panhandle to provide emergency or temporary housing for placement of abused, traumatized, addicted, and homeless children and young adults in a safe and supportive community until permanent housing is obtained, or until arrangements can be made for either adoption or return to their families.
